Service Agreement
Effective date: March 3, 2026
At Benny’s Mobile Grooming Co., our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free grooming experience for every pet. By booking an appointment, you agree to the following policies designed to protect your pet’s well-being and the safety of our groomer.
Pet Health & Vaccination
Pets are accepted for grooming under the following conditions:
-
Your pet must be healthy enough to undergo the grooming process.
-
Grooming elderly, injured, or medically compromised pets is performed with the owner’s informed consent and at the owner’s risk.
-
Rabies vaccination must be up to date as required by law unless otherwise discussed and approved prior to the appointment.
-
Any medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, medications, or behavioral concerns (including bite history) must be disclosed before grooming.
-
Grooming may reveal pre-existing conditions such as skin irritation, lumps, parasites, or infections. These are not caused by grooming but may become visible during the process. Your groomer will inform you of any concerns noticed during the appointment.
Parasites (Fleas & Ticks)
-
Fleas: Benny’s Mobile Grooming Co. does not groom pets with active flea infestations. If fleas are observed at check-in or during grooming, services may be stopped and the appointment ended. Applicable service fees may apply for time already spent.
-
Ticks: Ticks can be difficult to avoid outdoors. If ticks are found, we will remove them only when it can be done safely. If a tick cannot be safely removed, we will notify you and may recommend veterinary care.
Emergency Care Authorization
In the event of an emergency where you cannot be reached, you authorize Benny’s Mobile Grooming Co. to contact the nearest veterinarian and approve any necessary treatment for your pet at your expense. You are responsible for all veterinary and related costs.
Grooming Services
-
A full description of our services is available on our website.
-
All services are intended to be completed during the grooming appointment; however, your pet’s comfort and safety will guide the process.
-
Services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, or other procedures will be performed as long as the pet remains reasonably cooperative and the process can be completed safely.
-
If at any point a service poses a risk of injury to the pet or groomer due to stress, behavior, or physical condition, Benny’s Mobile Grooming Co. reserves the right to modify or omit that portion of the service.
-
Our priority is always the well-being of your pet and maintaining a safe grooming environment.
Matting & Coat Condition
-
Matted coats can cause significant discomfort and may hide skin irritation or other concerns.
-
While we aim to preserve your pet’s coat when possible, shaving or extensive de-matting may be the most humane and safest option.
-
De-matting or coat removal can result in a noticeable change to your pet’s appearance. Your pet’s comfort and well-being will always take priority over maintaining coat length or style.
-
If significant matting requires extra time, de-matting, or shaving, you will be informed before proceeding whenever possible. At that time, you may choose to:
-
Approve the necessary grooming adjustment, or
-
Decline and end the grooming session (with applicable service fees for time already spent).
-
Behavior & Safety
-
We reserve the right to pause, modify, or stop grooming services if a pet becomes aggressive, overly stressed, or unsafe to handle.
-
If grooming cannot be completed due to safety concerns, partial service charges may still apply.
Inherent Risks & Responsibility
Grooming involves inherent risks, including but not limited to minor nicks, clipper irritation, stress reactions, allergic reactions, or aggravation of pre-existing conditions. We use safe handling practices and professional care. Benny’s Mobile Grooming Co. is responsible for injuries or damages caused by our negligence. We are not responsible for issues arising from pre-existing conditions, undisclosed medical or behavioral history, or a pet’s actions (including sudden movement, biting, or panic), except where caused by our negligence.
Payment
-
Payment is due at the time of service.
-
Accepted payment methods include: Cash, Check, Credit Card, and Venmo.
-
Pricing is based on breed, size, coat condition, behavior, and grooming time.
Cancellations
-
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged up to the full appointment fee.
-
In certain circumstances such as severe weather or emergencies, cancellation fees may be waived at our discretion.
No-Shows
-
If you are unavailable at the scheduled appointment time and do not notify us, it will be considered a no-show.
-
No-shows may be charged up to the full grooming fee due to lost appointment time.
Scheduling Adjustments
Benny’s Mobile Grooming Co. reserves the right to reschedule or cancel appointments when necessary. Every effort will be made to find a new time that works for you.
Mobile Grooming Conditions & Access
Because services are performed on-site, we require a safe working environment. Appointments may be delayed or rescheduled due to:
-
Unsafe parking conditions
-
Severe weather
-
Environmental risks to equipment, pets, or groomer
An adult is not required to be home during the appointment. However, you are responsible for ensuring we can safely access your pet at the scheduled time and that your pet can be safely handed off and returned. If we cannot safely access your pet or complete the appointment due to access issues, applicable fees may apply.
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client for safety or professional reasons.
By booking with Benny’s Mobile Grooming Co., you acknowledge and agree to these policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
